Elon Musk-led X was down for thousands on Monday. (AFP)According to Downdetector, outage complaints rose to over 25,000 around 18:30 IST, as users faced problems accessing the platform and loading posts.
There is no official post clarifying what causes the X outage.

X down: Netizens complain about outagesDisruptions occur almost simultaneously in different regions. Several users reported that they were unable to refresh their feed on both the app and website, while others experienced challenges logging in.
“Nothing is loading,” one user reported on Downdetector. Another said, “No access to London, why?”
Data from Downdetector indicates a sudden spike in complaints within minutes, pointing to a large-scale service disruption rather than isolated issues.
Global outage of XThe incident is the latest in a series of outages to hit major internet platforms in recent months. X experienced a similar break in March 2025, affecting users worldwide.
In November 2025, an isolated outage in CloudFlare caused temporary access problems for numerous websites, including X, causing significant downtime.
