Jack Doherty says house arrest will keep him home for several months

In the now-viral video, Doherty appeared at ease despite the conditions, and even joked about being forced to remain inside his expensive property for the foreseeable future.

“Okay guys, I was just put under house arrest, and yes, I have to stay at my house for the next two months.

But, at least, I’ll be able to stay here; This is like the most beautiful bed ever. Everyone who hates me is probably so happy that I’m put under house arrest. But look at my bed, though. Come now. I have to stay here.”The reaction online was immediate and brutal. Critics flooded social media with angry comments, accusing the streamer of refusing to take responsibility for his past behaviour.“You deserve it you loser so deal with it and stop complaining about these videos you idiot…” one user wrote.

Another added: “You should be in jail and losing every penny to lawsuits and fines.”The backlash reflects growing frustration over Doherty’s recurring controversies, many of which have followed him across multiple platforms over the past few years.

Doherty’s latest update arrives months after his November 2025 arrest in Florida. Authorities charged the streamer with multiple felonies, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 20 milligrams, and resisting police without violence.

His legal issues became even messier after reports emerged claiming he failed to appear in court during proceedings earlier this year. YouTube user Atozy later discussed the situation online, saying Doherty’s lawyer appeared remotely while confusion surrounded some of the charges listed. The broadcaster had to face consequences even outside the courtroom. He was reportedly banned from all PGA Tour competitions in February 2026 after trespassing at the WM Phoenix Open and inciting fans to misbehave.Doherty has been very active on the internet and social media platforms, but his recent claim that he is currently under house arrest has sparked a wider debate regarding internet celebrities and accountability.
