Mary Carrillo is replacing Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, who is missing her Olympic 2026 assignment after mother Nancy’s kidnapping.

Mary Carrillo has been tapped to replace Today Show host Savannah Guthrie at the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Guthrie misses the assignment because his mother, Nancy, is kidnapped.

“Mary Carrillo, in her 17th Olympic assignment, will join Terry Gannon as Opening Ceremony host. Ahmed Farid will host Olympic Late Night from February 7-9,” they wrote in X .
