Unfortunately, in June 2026, Davis passed away at the age of 94 after suffering health issues, including being hospitalized for respiratory issues. According to a statement from the record producer’s family, per the peopleThey called him “an iconic music legend whose vision, instincts and relentless pursuit of excellence have formed the soundtrack to countless lives.”

To them, Davis was “a father and grandfather, a constant presence at the center of our lives, and a source of wisdom, strength, encouragement and unconditional love,” the statement continued. “No matter how impressive his professional accomplishments were, he never lost sight of what mattered most: the people he loved.”
