The person detained by the police for questioning Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance was identified by a family member as Carlos Palazuelos. This comes after the FBI released photos and videos showing interest in Nancy’s disappearance. However, it has not been confirmed whether the person seen in the video is Carlos.

Who is Carlos Palazuelos and did he know Nancy Guthrie?The mother-in-law of the arrested person identified herself as Josephine Maddox. She identified her son as Carlos Palajuelos, adding that he was at her home in Rio Rico, Arizona when Nancy disappeared.

Josefina described Carlos as a “good guy” and insisted he had no criminal record or history of being violent. Josefina was shown surveillance footage of the man on Nancy’s ring camera, but denied the man had anything in common with Carlos.

News Nation’s Brian Entin reported that the man arrested in Nancy’s case was supplying DoorDash, according to her family. He spoke to Josefina, and wrote X-A, who did not name her, “just spoke to the mother-in-law of the man who was arrested. She owns the house and said there was an active search warrant and they took all their electronic devices. She insisted her son-in-law was not involved.”

The woman said in another interview that they did not know Nancy. “We don’t know him at all. I don’t know who he is,” she said.

“The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by the FBI’s Evidence Response Team, is conducting a court-authorized search in Rio Rico, AZ related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation. This operation is expected to last several hours. No further details are available at this time,” the department said in a statement late Tuesday.
