The announcement of the closure of 16-year-old Indian restaurant Ranjeez in London was just the beginning, with its Indian-origin owner Harman Singh Kapoor sparking controversy over his attacks on Muslims.
He earlier revealed that one of the reasons for closing his restaurant was threats from Pakistanis, and blamed the police for their lack of support. Afterwards, Kapoor revealed that Muslims targeted his restaurant because he chose from day one not to sell halal meat, and because of this, Pakistanis gave him bad reviews. Kapoor said that he does not care about the failure of his business, because he chose to close his restaurant and will now continue the business full time.

Who is Harman Singh Kapoor? ?
Harman Singh Kapoor is known as a Sikh activist who has spoken out against Khalistani extremism. In 2023, he said his car was shot at and vandalized after he criticized the Khalistan movement. Recently, he and his wife have become vocal against Muslims. Before announcing the closure of their restaurant, Kapoor and his wife filmed a video alerting parents about “love jihad” in the United Kingdom and Australia.
“Many girls are being brainwashed by Pakistani and Bangladeshi boys and are no longer in contact with their parents. I am investigating many cases and this is shocking,” Kapoor wrote in the post.
Many social media users commented that Kapoor was planning a political stunt with Tommy Robinson, and despite being an immigrant, he stuck to anti-immigrant rhetoric. They claimed that despite being from India, he had sought asylum in the UK as an Afghan Sikh refugee.
