A UK police force has arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Thames Valley Police, the agency that covers areas west of London, including Mountbatten-Windsor’s former home, “allegedly” sent commercial reports to former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, convicted sex offender in 2010, Jeffrey Epstein.

Police forces do not normally name Mountbatten-Windsor under UK law. But when asked if he was arrested, the force showed a statement that they had arrested a man in his sixties.

“After a thorough assessment, we have now initiated an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,” the statement said. “As we work with our partners to investigate this alleged crime it is important to protect the integrity and impartiality of our investigation.
