US President Donald Trump said Thursday that if an agreement is reached with Iran to end the war and signed in Islamabad, he may leave, and that Iran has agreed to almost everything.Trump expressed an optimistic tone about Iran while speaking to reporters.
He said he may extend the US-Iranian ceasefire set to expire next week, but he may not need to do so. “If an agreement is signed in Islamabad, I may leave,” Trump said, praising Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir.
“They were great.” This will be the first visit by an American president to Pakistan since George W. Bush’s visit in March 2006.Trump also said, without providing evidence, that Iran had agreed to give up enriched uranium believed to have been buried during US-Israeli air strikes last year. Trump is pressing to reach an agreement under which Tehran abandons its nuclear program. He added that the agreement would also include “free oil” and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
