Prince Harry is once again in the news, but this time it’s not just about his court case. Old private messages have gone public, and now they’re sparking new buzz around his personal life.
During a recent court hearing linked to his legal battle against Associated Newspapers, a set of Facebook messages between the Duke of Sussex and a journalist were shown. These chats took place from late 2011 to early 2012, long before he met Meghan Markle. However, the tone of the messages caught people’s attention, and reports now say that Meghan Markle is not happy about it.The issue came to light during the ongoing case in which Prince Harry and other public figures have accused Associated Newspapers, which publishes the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, of using illegal methods to gather information.
According to court details reported by People magazine, the letters were part of the discussion. Soon after, reactions began flowing online, including comments from pop culture commentator Perez Hilton.

The letters were exchanged between Prince Harry and Charlotte Griffiths, who works for the Mail on Sunday. At the time, Prince Harry did not know that she was a journalist. The chats included friendly and slightly flirtatious lines, as they talked about meeting up again and shared light personal moments.
In response, Perez Hilton wrote in his blog on April 2 that the letters could influence how people saw the Duke at court. He shared parts of the chat and said:“Chats see colleagues reminiscing about a ‘fun weekend full of naughtiness’. Harry also complains about having to do charity work and says he misses the ‘movie cuddles’ between the pair, and calls Charlotte a ‘sugar’. Oh boy! … Not only is it a little annoying to see his texts, it could ruin his time in court.
The timing of these letters is important because they are now part of a serious legal battle. Prince Harry’s lawyer, David Sherborne, said in court that the stories published about him came through illegal means. However, Associated Newspapers denied all allegations.

After the messages became public, a Radar Online report claimed that Meghan Markle was upset. The report said she found the situation embarrassing, especially since these private conversations are now being discussed publicly.Perez Hilton also shared what a source told Radar Online, saying:“This has led to Harry getting the nickname ‘Flirty Harry’ because of the tone of those messages, and Meghan Markle is furious that this is all happening now. Meghan feels it is embarrassing and frustrating.”Meanwhile, Prince Harry has already spoken about his relationship with Charlotte Griffiths in court. According to People, he said he met her at a party hosted by his friend Arthur Landon. Once he found out she was a journalist, he said he cut off contact and wondered how the situation had happened. The trial in the High Court in London lasted for 10 weeks and ended on March 31. Judge Matthew Nicklin has not yet issued a final decision and is still reviewing the case.
