The British military said on Sunday that the Cardo ship was attacked in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the ship reported being “attacked by unidentified armed assailants,” the Associated Press reports.

The incident is being investigated with no further details about the ship or damage yet.Additionally, no group had claimed responsibility for the attack as of Sunday afternoon. However, Houthi rebels in Yemen have threatened to start attacking ships again, although there are no reports of this taking place.Meanwhile, Somali pirates have been active farther afield in the Gulf of Aden recently as well.
