At least eight people, including four children, were injured in a shooting in Brooklyn’s Coney Island late Friday during the Fourth of July, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said.Police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 10:37 p.m. local time in the 2900 block of West 31st Street, according to an NYPD statement, cited by ABC News.The victims included two men aged 37 and 33, two women aged 25 and 21, and four boys aged 14, 12, 7 and 6. Their identities were not revealed.“All victims were transported by emergency services to local area hospitals where seven people were listed in stable condition,” the NYPD said, adding that “the 21-year-old woman is listed in critical condition.”Investigators recovered a firearm from the scene, but had not arrested anyone as of Saturday evening. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
