Saudi Arabia and Kuwait urgently recall infant formula products: What every consumer should know

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition in Kuwait announced the withdrawal of infant formula manufactured by Nutricia-Danone under the brands Aptamil and Bebelac. The recall was initiated after a voluntary notification from the company due to possible contamination with Cereulide, a substance produced by Bacillus cereus bacteria that poses a health risk to infants. According to the Food and Drug Administration, exposure to Cerulide may cause symptoms within 30 minutes to six hours after ingestion, including nausea, recurrent vomiting, and abdominal pain. However, symptoms are usually short-lived and last up to 24 hours.

Below is a list of information related to the recalled batches, according to Khaleej Times:23-Jan-27
