Watch: The Russian Tuapse refinery catches fire after the Ukrainian strikes. Two ships were hit in Crimea

Videos show Russia’s Tuapse refinery burning after Ukraine intensified its strikes.

In a series of new strikes in the war that began four years ago, Ukraine has intensified its pressure along the Black Sea front by targeting the Russian military and energy infrastructure.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 112 Ukrainian drones overnight.Military intelligence in Kiev claimed to have struck two large Russian landing ships stationed in Sevastopol Bay in “occupied” Crimea. The attack, which occurred on Sunday night, targeted ships belonging to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

In a separate operation, Ukrainian forces also bombed the Tuapse oil refinery for the second time in less than a week, according to drone forces commander Robert Brovdi.

The facility, operated by Rosneft, processes about 2.40 lakh barrels of crude oil per day and produces fuels including diesel and naphtha.Russian officials confirmed that a drone strike destroyed transport infrastructure in the port of Tuapse. Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said one man was killed and another wounded in the latest raid, which also damaged residential buildings, a school, a kindergarten, a museum and a church. This is the second attack on the coastal city in recent days.Earlier, the governor said that a nighttime drone airstrike on April 16 killed a 14-year-old girl and a young woman.
