Pictures of director Meera Nair with her son and now New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Jeffrey Epstein have gone viral. This comes after the Monsoon Wedding director was mentioned in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, which the Justice Department released on Friday.

The alleged photo shows Nair holding a baby Mamdani in her arms, standing next to Bill Clinton and Epstein. It was widely shared online.
The film has evoked mixed reactions. “Zohran Mamdani is a Nepo baby. True Johran Mamdani’s mother’s emails were in the Epstein files. FACT. It proves she was politically and socially connected to the elite. New York City was duped. True. Baby Zohran, her mother, and pedos Clinton and Epstein,” one person shared the photo.

Johran Mamdani’s pictures are real?No, the photos of Mamdani with Nair or Maxwell with Clinton and Epstein are all AI-generated. Mamdani was born in 1991 and the mail about Nair joining the party is from 2009, meaning Mamdani would have been 18 by then, and not a child as the images show.
The images appear to be from a page called DFF which they claim produces ‘high quality AI videos and memes’.
The image was also fact-checked by X Community Notes, which stated “The image is AI-generated and depicts a non-existent event. Zohran Mamdani was born in 1991 to Meera Nair; she was 18 when she attended a 2009 after-party with Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos.”
The page shared several other AI-generated photos of Mamdani but they didn’t go viral like the one above. DFF admitted the images were AI-generated and wrote “I deliberately made her a baby which would technically make this image 34 years old. Yikes.”
