Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar indicated on Wednesday that current and future conflicts remain a possibility, saying the country cannot guarantee that the current war will be the last.Speaking amid ongoing regional tensions, Saar said Israel’s enemies still retain the ability to launch attacks, although they do not currently pose a fundamental threat to the country’s existence. He added: “In the future, we will also need to remain vigilant against the conspiracies of our enemies.” “We do not promise that this will be the ‘last war,’” he said. His statements come at a time when the war in the Middle East, now in its second month, shows no sign of abating.
The attack from both sides continues to escalate, only the United States, Israel, Iran and allied groups. While Israeli officials assert that their security situation contains significant threats, they acknowledge that risks posed by hostile actors remain.Saar stressed that despite the ongoing hostilities, Israel does not face an “existential threat” at present, noting that while security challenges persist, they are being managed within the country’s defense framework. This comes as US President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday that Iran had requested a “ceasefire,” and continued to describe “the new Iranian regime as less extremist and more intelligent.”
