A 21-year-old man is set to be charged with murder in the horrific shooting in Brooklyn that left a 7-month-old girl dead, with police revealing the victim’s little brother was struck by the same bullet, the New York Post reported.Amory Green will face murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the death of Kaori Patterson Moore, according to the NYPD.
The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, when the child’s mother, Leanna Charles Moore, was walking with her two children in a double stroller.Gunshots were heard near a busy street corner, prompting her to run to a nearby store for safety.
Moments later, she realized that her infant daughter had been shot in the head.The child was taken to the hospital but was declared dead shortly after.
Hit little brother With the same bullet
Police sources said that the same bullet that killed the baby scratched her two-year-old brother, leaving him with a wound in the back.The child survived and was treated in hospital.

The suspect was identified after he arrived at the hospital with a leg wound after the shooting, Jessica S. Tisch said.
Authorities believe that the accused was riding a motorcycle and opened fire on a crowd of people. The car later collided with a car two blocks away.The shooting is believed to be gang-related, although the infant was not the intended target, police added.

New York City Mayor Zahran Mamdani called the incident a “devastating reminder” of the need to address gun violence.“We cannot accept this as normal,” he said, adding that the city must not become numb to such tragedies.
The suspect is in custody, and the manhunt continues
Green, who has no prior criminal record but is being investigated in connection with recent burglaries, is currently in custody.Officials said he would be formally arrested and charged.Meanwhile, a search is underway for the second suspect who was allegedly driving the motorcycle.

The boy’s mother recalled the moment she realized what had happened, saying she initially thought the sounds were fireworks.“I was hugging my son… then I looked and my daughter was there… and she was bleeding,” she said.Family members said the baby had only recently learned to say “mama,” highlighting the tragedy of a life cut short.
