A composite of images captured by a security camera shows what the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) describes as an armed man who appears to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door.

On Tuesday (February 10, 2026) authorities released images of a masked and armed man. Nancy Guthrie’s housethe 84-year-old mother of television anchor Savannah Guthrie, who was kidnapped about 10 days ago.

Photos and videos released by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department show the man wearing a face mask, gloves, a backpack and what appears to be a gun holster.

Images recovered from a Google Nest camera on the front doorbell of Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona home were recorded at 3 a.m. on February 1, a day after her family last saw her, a law enforcement official said. At one point in the video, the man is seen trying to block the camera with foliage collected nearby, then appears to damage it. A law enforcement official said the man’s head was down as he approached the door, indicating awareness of the camera’s location. Police said the camera was deactivated in the early hours of February 1.

Ms. Guthrie’s pacemaker was disconnected from her phone in the early morning hours of February 1, when she was abducted.

The woman was reported missing after skipping church

Guthrie disappeared hours after relatives dropped her off at her home on January 31. Relatives reported her missing the next day when she failed to attend church services on Sunday. Law enforcement officials said they have no suspects or persons of interest in the case.

“Law enforcement officials have released these new, previously inaccessible images that show an armed man tampered with a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote in an ex-post accompanying the images.

Patel was at the Tucson command post for the investigation yesterday, a law enforcement official said.

At least two ransom notes were initially delivered to the news media.

The elder Guthrie’s disappearance has attracted widespread attention. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt opened her press conference Tuesday by saying that she and President Donald Trump had reviewed the newly released images. “The president encourages any American across the country who may have any knowledge of the suspect to please call the FBI, who will continue to assist state and local authorities who are on the ground leading this investigation,” Leavitt said.

Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have made several videos to help the public with tips and help the kidnappers return their mother or communicate directly with them. The family has said that they will provide compensation.

Savannah Guthrie shared the new pictures on Instagram on Tuesday with the caption: “We believe she’s still alive. Bring her home.”
