On February 8, TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie and her siblings released a new video message directly addressing those who may be holding their mother, Nancy. On appeal, Guthrie said the family got a message and was ready to comply.

It is the only way that will give us peace. She is very precious to us, and we will pay.”

According to TMZ, the message demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin in exchange for Nancy Guthrie’s return.

Authorities said the initial letter contained two deadlines: one that had already passed and the other set for Monday local time. Heath Janke, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Phoenix division, confirmed the existence of the deadline but declined to specify what each phase entailed, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A second, shorter message was reportedly received on Friday. According to KOLD-TV, it included sensitive information but no clear timeline, raising further questions about who sent it and whether it is credible.
The investigation is ongoingMeanwhile, investigators are following several leads. Surveillance footage from a Circle K convenience store near Tucson’s Catalina Foothills area is being reviewed after a tip about a vehicle of interest, the Daily Express reported.

Neighbors saw a white van in the area before Nancy Guthrie went missing.
Despite the development, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said there are currently no confirmed suspects or persons of interest, stressing that reviewing nearby surveillance footage is standard procedure.
