Nancy Guthriethe anchor mother of ‘Aaj’ show Savannah Guthriewas likely abducted from her Tucson home while she was sleeping, Arizona police revealed Monday, February 2. A family member reported Nancy, 84, missing around noon Sunday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said, according to local news station KOLD.

A sheriff’s office representative told the New York Post, “At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will and that includes possible abduction or abduction.”
‘Actually we have a crime’Nanos revealed at a press conference earlier in the day that the rural million-dollar property has cameras. He added that police are investigating Nancy’s disappearance as a crime.
Nancy was last seen Saturday night around 9:45 p.m. when one of her children dropped her off at home. He was reported missing the next day when he failed to show up for church.
On Monday, authorities said they found a “very disturbing” scene at the home. Nancy left some important personal belongings, including life-saving medication.

Nanos says Nancy is mentally “sharp as a tack” but physically limited. He added that he was “unable to walk 50 yards on his own,” indicating that he did not go on his own.
“We believe now, after we process it crime scenethat we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime, and we’re asking for the community’s help,” the sheriff said.
Nancy “needs medication, medication that if she doesn’t have within 24 hours, it could be fatal,” Nanos said.
Savannah Guthrie is speakingSavannah skipped her show on Monday amid the ordeal.
“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” she said in a family statement.
“At this time, our focus remains on the safe return of our beloved mother. We thank law enforcement for their hard work in this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at (520) 351-4900,” he added.
Nancy is 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. It is not known what she was wearing when she went missing.
