A massive search has been launched for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of ‘Today’ host Savannah Guthrie, another missing person case from Nebraska. Harrison Shreyers, 27, of Lincoln, left his apartment on Jan. 28 to go to his job but never showed up. Now his family members and colleagues are worried.

Harrison Schrears missing since January 28 (GoFundMe)It comes after Nancy Guthrie mysteriously disappeared from her Tucson home on January 31 and is believed to have been abducted. Pima County officials confirmed the 84-year-old was taken against her will.

However, a missing case about 1,200 miles from Tucson has sparked new concerns. Schreyers, who works at data processing company Sandhills Global, has not yet been located.

The final known movementDuring the short 20-minute ride, the Schreyers make an unexpected stop at the JetSplash Car Wash. Surveillance cameras there captured him walking in wearing a navy suit, black tie, tan dress shoes and glasses, which appeared to be his wallet.

Additional footage shows him getting into his car and extending his arms out the driver’s side window.

Moments later, his phone registered a ping at 10:03 a.m. to Seresco, a location about 20 minutes from his workplace. Her brother, John Shreyers, told the Lincoln Journal Star that the details troubled the family from the beginning.

“Why didn’t he come to work? That’s question number one.”

makes no senseAccording to his cousin, Chrissy Dyckhouse, Ping drove Harrison to Dell Rapids, South Dakota, where he grew up. But he insisted he had no reason to go there that day. He added that he used to drive his navy blue 2017 Ford Edge, license plate ARF611.

Both relatives stressed that Harrison was generally in communication about his plans and whereabouts.

Dykehouse and John agree that it was completely out of character for her to disappear without telling anyone.

John described his brother as “such a kind, thoughtful, generous – very funny guy. He cared. He cared.”

GoFundMe has been launchedIn an effort to support the search, friends of the family have created a GoFundMe aimed at helping with resources and publicity.

“Harrison is a beloved son, family member and friend. His family is doing everything possible to locate him and bring answers at this very difficult time,” the fundraiser said.

As of Thursday afternoon, the campaign had raised nearly $10,000.
