Desperate law enforcement officials in Arizona, searching for Nancy, the mother of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, revealed they still have no suspects four days after the 84-year-old disappeared. They’ve enlisted the help of the FBI to help solve a case they seem to be making minimal progress on.
Nancy Guthrie missing: Authorities in Arizona are struggling to find Nancy, the mother of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, who went missing four days ago. (x)Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos spoke at a news conference Tuesday, saying, “We don’t know if there were multiple people involved,” as he reiterated his appeal for the public’s help in finding Nancy.
When a reporter asked about Nancy’s whereabouts and the number of people involved in her disappearance, she simply said, “No clue.”
“We have crime all the time in Tucson,” he continued, addressing a question about how he was sure there was no threat to the general public, while also making sure law enforcement left Nancy’s residence.
“The scene is done. We’re done with the residence. We don’t know where he is,” Nanos continued.
“We believe that Nancy was taken from her home against her will,” he added.

An ex-NYPD hostage negotiator says the tragic situation points to multiple perpetratorsThe troubling details surrounding the abduction of Savannah Guthrie’s mother from her luxury rural home in Arizona suggest that more than one person may have been involved in the crime, according to a former NYPD hostage negotiator.
Speaking to CNN on Tuesday, Wallace Jaynes said the supposed ransom note for Nancy, which requested a substantial payment in cryptocurrency, could provide insight into the identity of the suspected kidnappers.
“I believe in the possibility of multiple people. He’s 150 pounds, 5 foot 5, wakes up in the middle of the night, not in good health — can’t walk or run, so I think there’s multiple people involved in this particular crime,” Jaynes told CNN.
“What that tells you is, it tells you that this is a group that knows what Bitcoin is and what social media is about, and they know the system.”

Missing Nancy Guthrie: We all know about the ransom noteTMZ reports that the ransom note allegedly contained crime scene information at Nancy’s residence.
It is not yet clear whether the ransom note was handwritten. It should have been handwritten, which would require forensic analysis, Jaynes said.
Authorities have found no evidence that her disappearance was intentional.
Law enforcement has verified that the reports regarding the ransom notes are under serious investigation and have been forwarded to detectives.
On Tuesday, FBI agents went to the home of Savannah’s sister Annie. Annie was the last person to see Nancy before she disappeared. The two had dinner together, and Nancy was brought home around nine-thirty on Saturday night.
