The Crown Princess of Norway has issued a heartfelt apology over her association with Jeffrey Epstein, following the release of new documents that reveal her stay at his Palm Beach home.
Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit has issued a second apology over her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, acknowledging poor judgment and the impact on her family’s reputation amid legal troubles involving her son. (Reuters)Mette-Merritt revealed that the content of the messages exchanged between her and Epstein “does not represent the person I want to be”, and she apologized to those she had “let down”.
Documents relating to Epstein included numerous references to the crown princess, who said in 2019 that she regretted her interactions with Epstein, the Daily Mail reported, citing Norwegian media.

Royal Palace, Oslo issued statementThe palace released a statement from the Crown Princess, in which she expressed her deep regret about her previous friendship with Epstein.
“It is important for me to apologize to all of you, whom I have let down. Some of the content of the messages between Epstein and I do not represent the person I want to be,” the palace said.
“I apologize for the situation I have put the Royal Family, especially the King and Queen, through.”
It represents the second apology by Mete-Merritt in a week, following her statement released after the files were released, in which she revealed she had “shown poor judgment” and regretted any interaction with Epstein.
Mate-Merritt’s relationship with EpsteinMette-Merritt’s communication and relationship with Epstein has attracted significant attention in the past week, intensifying embarrassment for the royal family, coinciding with her son’s trial for various crimes in Oslo, including rape allegations.
Recently released documents feature email correspondence that suggests Met-Merritt used a property owned by Epstein in Palm Beach, Florida in 2013.
The family of Mette-MerrittKing Harald, 88, enjoys considerable popularity in Norway, along with the royal family. However, legal issues surrounding Mette-Maritt’s son, Marius Borg Hoeby, have posed a challenge to the family’s reputation since 2024, and the recent Epstein documents have exacerbated the situation.
Mette-Merit is married to Crown Prince Haakon, the heir to the throne.
