Mark Beckman, a senior adviser to Melania Trump, said the first lady wants serious implications for people spreading rumors about Epstein, and she has a team of lawyers ready to go. Beckman told Fox News that the rare statement she issued, distancing herself from sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, achieved three goals.
“She has exposed all the lies surrounding her and Epstein. Second, she has become a champion for these women, for the victims, and finally, third, she is a true leader in Washington, D.C., and she is calling on Congress to act now.”Beckman said Melania will continue to attack those who spread rumors about her association with Epstein. “There is no reason for this woman to stop fighting for her dignity. She has done nothing wrong.

The first lady also said she had no relationship with Epstein’s alleged friend and accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, and dismissed the significance of email exchanges between her and Maxwell that appeared in Epstein’s files. “My email response to Maxwell cannot be classified as anything more than informal correspondence,” Melania said. “My polite response to her email amounts to nothing more than a trivial remark.”
