Megyn Kelly says Trump’s lowest approval rating is the five red flags telling the US it must get out of Iran.
Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly, who strongly condemns President Donald Trump’s war in Iran, said the president’s lowest approval rating is indication enough that the United States should get out of Iran and work full time for Americans.
“Five warnings — for the love of all that is holy, we need to get out of Iran and work full time on people’s fears about dollars,” Kelly wrote in response to the latest University of Massachusetts Amherst poll, which found Trump’s overall approval rating at just 33 percent. The college found that the president’s net approval fell on several key issues that formed the core of his 2024 campaign, coming in at -25 on immigration, -31 on jobs, -36 on tariffs, and -47 on inflation. In July 2025, Trump’s approval rating was 38% and in April 2025 it was 44%.
Trump’s approval rating is at an all-time low
The poll included 1,000 people from March 20 to 25, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. Jesse Rhodes, a political science professor at UMass Amherst and co-director of the poll, called the numbers “brutal” for Trump in a poll statement, warning that Trump’s approval of the economy is “a major reason his poll numbers are down.”
“62% of Americans somewhat or strongly disapprove of Trump’s job performance. Why? Americans rate Trump harshly on the most prominent issues facing the country, especially on core economic issues,” he wrote. “71% say Trump is not handling inflation well, and 61% say he is not handling jobs well. Tariffs were supposed to be one of Trump’s top issues, but they are a public relations disaster with nearly two in three Americans (64%) giving them a negative score.”

The White House reacts to Trump’s approval rating
White House spokesman Davis Engel said the final ballot was on November 5, 2024. In a statement to Newsweek, Engel said that “the final ballot was on November 5, 2024 when nearly 80 million Americans overwhelmingly elected President Trump to carry out his popular and common-sense agenda.”“No other president in history has accomplished more for the American people than President Trump, who works tirelessly to create jobs, calm inflation, increase housing affordability, and more,” the spokesperson said. “The President has already made historic progress not just in America but around the world, and this is just the beginning as his agenda continues to play out.”
