McDonald’s Valentine’s Day McNugget Caviar Kit sold out within minutes of the website crashing, leaving many eager shoppers disappointed.

McDonald’s Valentine’s Day special free McNugget caviar kit went up for booking on the website at 11am on Tuesday. However, what happened as soon as the sale went live was a disaster.

When it was finally loaded, the McNugget Caviar Kit sold out. This apparently disappointed many McDonald’s customers. Many have even accused it of being a scam.

“McDonald’s McNugget Caviar sold out in 2 minutes,” wrote one user. “The website didn’t work for more than 2 seconds. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing was fake.”

“That McNugget Caviar promo was crap. I waited until 10am for one and the website crashed,” said another.

“Actually great marketing by McDonald’s. They marketed the hell out of this product and the website crashed 1 minute before the countdown ended. How does this sell unless they plan to give away free McNugget caviar kits to begin with!” A has been added.

“McNugget Caviar was rigged man I’m sick,” wrote another.

“All I wanted was some caviar for my McNuggets but the site crashed 😭,” said another.

McDonald’s announced its limited-edition McNugget caviar kits in a press release on February 2, ahead of an online drop on Valentine’s Day, February 10.

Scammers sell fake McNugget caviar kits on eBayAs thousands of users missed out on McNugget caviar kit sales, scammers took to eBay to trick users into paying for confirmed orders of caviar kits. Some screenshots are selling for over $400.

“People are selling printed screenshots of McDonald’s McNugget Caviar purchase confirmations on eBay 2 people have already been fooled and bought for $100 😭” shared one user.

Other franchises with Valentine’s Day deals and gifts in 2026 include chocolate and snack deals and discounts with 7-Eleven, Moe’s Southwest Grill offering BOGO entrees, Jack in the Box specials and Ghirardelli giving away free “Chocolockets.”
