The Texas landscape has become a boiling pot of anti-immigration sentiment fueled by the flames of alleged “seizure” and “invasion” by the Indian-American community. A recent video of a school celebration in Texas took the internet by storm, sparking concern in the minds of MAGAs about the loss of their culture.Trinity High School in Euless, Texas recently held a Bollywood dance. “Homecoming is a long-standing tradition in many Texas high schools,” a post on X (formerly Twitter) was captioned highlighting how American Homecoming was a traditional day for students and included cultural dances from the floor. In the clip, students from the high school can be seen wearing traditional Indian attire of lehenga choli and kurtas while performing a song from the Bollywood film starring actor Shah Rukh Khan. Many people were angry online about immigration and called for the deportation of the Indian-American community because of the spread of their culture in the country. One user on X wrote: “Why are these people in Texas instead of India? I know yours kind of looks the same, there’s probably some confusion, but it’s just getting so ridiculous. It’s one thing to allow exchange programs where you have a few foreign students, but create huge groups of them to the point where they start overtaking your own civilization.”
Another said: “They should be stripped of their citizenship and deported because they are not assimilated.” “Back in the day, when Texas was still Texas, who would have imagined Texas high school gymnasiums filled with dancing, idol-worshiping Indians?” someone asked. “Where are the parents! Loss of Texas values,” one person chided.
The video was taken at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas and it was their celebration of Culture Day in 2025, instead of Homecoming.
The school is known to celebrate the diversity of its students on this day through cultural performances from all over the world. “We are here to celebrate every culture of every student. We are here to share, rejoice and celebrate how diverse we are and how amazing we are,” a school official said in a video shared on his YouTube channel.
“The best thing about Culture Day is that I not only celebrate my culture but also the culture of my friends,” said one of the school’s students.
Students performed dances from various countries around the world on this day, including South Africa, Tonga and India. Many on Reddit noted that the school hosted one of the “most diverse” student populations in all of America. The school’s football team is known to perform the haka, a ceremonial dance of the Maori people from New Zealand, before playing. “I went to Trinity, it’s not one of the most diverse high schools in North Texas, it’s one of the most diverse high schools in the US. Nothing else in North Texas comes close to it honestly,” one Redditor wrote.
The celebrations throughout the day were diverse and represented many other cultures. However, a clip of the Indian dance has been circulating online to promote the anti-India rhetoric that is spreading rapidly in America at the moment. According to a recent report by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), titled “How a Small Network Hijacked the Immigration Controversy,” anti-India content on Many similar clips were posted and widely circulated on social media forums promoting anti-Indian sentiments in the states and creating an anti-social environment, as a call to action on the growing demand for their deportation and ban on H-1B visas.
