Kyle Rittenhouse, who gained national attention for the Kenosha shooting, is now calling for Pam Bondi’s removal. Rittenhouse is generally well-regarded in MAGA circles, and his break came after a fiery showdown between members of Congress and Attorney General Pam Bondi during the Epstein file hearings.

Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before a House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on Capitol Hill regarding the Epstein file. (AP)Bondi faced heated questions about the Donald Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files and at one point tried to sidestep them by praising the stock market’s performance instead. However, Rittenhouse’s comments came amid a more serious row brewing as the Justice Department has been accused of surveilling members of Congress who questioned Bondi on the Epstein files.

Congresswoman Pramila Jaipal posted a scathing message on X after news broke of alleged DOJ surveillance of Bondi. “This is completely inappropriate and against DOJ’s separation of powers that we are being monitored when we search the Epstein files. Bondi showed up today with a burn book containing a printed search history of exactly what emails I searched. This is outrageous and I want to follow suit and stop this spying on members,” he wrote.

The DOJ and Bondi have yet to officially respond to this. However, Rittenhouse has already called for Bondi’s resignation after appearing for the hearing.

Kyle Rittenhouse at Pam BondiRittenhouse X wrote “Pam Bondi needs to resign. Harmeet Dhillon for AG!.”

Dislike of Bondi was echoed elsewhere, including activist Trisha Hope on 6 January.

“As I write this the DOJ is willing to comply with the Epstein Transparency Act. They have been given flexibility due to the large amount of information, but after today’s hearing it is clear that this information is being deliberately withheld by AG Pam Bondi and requires immediate legislative outreach,” he wrote in X.

Hope made a series of posts condemning Bondi’s handling of the matter. In another, he wrote “AG Pam Bondi you have disgraced yourself, the office and the American people by your behavior, you need to get out of DOJ, you don’t have what it takes. Look these victims in the eye and demand accountability!”.

The Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files has also become a flashpoint in MAGA circles. Longtime Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene withdrew from their partnership on the issue, and now Rittenhouse and Hope’s posts show the extent of the problem.
