The Kremlin said on Monday (Feb 16, 2026) that it strongly rejected allegations from five European countries that the Russian government killed late Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny using poison from poison dart frogs.
Five European allies on Saturday (Feb 14, 2026) accused Moscow of murdering Navalny with an exotic poison two years ago while he was being held in an Arctic penal colony.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday (Feb 16, 2026) that Moscow took a very negative view of what he said were false allegations.
“Naturally, we do not accept such allegations. We disagree with them. We consider them biased and baseless. And, of course, we strongly deny them,” said Mr. Peskov.
