Kid Rock is getting a lot of criticism for his Super Bowl halftime performance. The singer was headlining the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) All-American Halftime Show, which Charlie Kirk’s organization brought in as an alternative to the NFL’s program featuring Bad Bunny.

Robert James Ritchie, 55, was accused of not being able to properly lip-sync to his own song. Meanwhile, fellow TPUSA halftime show performer Gabby Barrett won high praise.
Kid Rock slammed TPUSA after the performanceKid Rock, known for songs like All Summer Long and Born Free, was widely criticized after his performance. Republican Jack Kimball wrote, “Wow! Kid Rock might be the worst lip syncer I’ve ever seen. If you’re just going to lip sync, why not have Mike Lindell or Dr. Phil do it for you?”

Another added, “Kid Rock showed up for a minute and lip-synced every third bar from the first verse of Bawitdababakbawkchickenhead while tweaking jorts and fiddling with his fedora and then awkwardly cut to a classical performance.”
“Charlie Kirk wouldn’t have approved of Kid Rock’s pre-recorded lip sync Super Bowl performance,” quipped a conservative news outlet X, sharing a video of the performance.
Gabby Barrett earns high praiseWhile Kid Rock was criticized, many praised Barrett’s performance, with some commenting that he was ‘better’ than Kid Rock.

Another added, “GABBY BARRETT just brought the house down at the TPUSA All-American Halftime Show! Her voice hits like thunder, pure power, heart, and zero apology. The crowd lost it, phones up, singing along, chilled everywhere.”
