Roger Vadim

Jane and Roger began their romance in the 1960s, when Roger achieved great success as a screenwriter and director. Some of his most notable works include: God created woman, Barbarella and Beautiful maids in a row. Roger was married twice before marrying Jane in 1962, but he was her first husband. The lovebirds welcomed their daughter Vanessa Vadim During their marriage in 1968, they finally divorced in 1973.
“When I was married to Roger, one day, one of his friends said, ‘Oh my God, Jane, you’re just like us,'” Jane recalled when she spoke to British Vogue On how she feels she fits in with Roger and his crew in 2019. “And I took it as a compliment!”
Roger married twice more after his marriage to Jane ended and they shared in raising Vanessa. He died of cancer at the age of 72 in 2000.
Tom Hayden

Jane began her relationship with Tom in the 1970s. He was well known as a political and social activist at the time, becoming an author and director of the Peace and Justice Resource Center. He was married once before exchanging vows with Jane and becoming Vanessa’s stepfather in 1973. They welcomed a son, Troy Garrity In 1973 and an adopted daughter Mary Williamswho was born in 1967.
Jane and Tom’s marriage lasted until 1990, then he married for the third and final time and adopted another son, LiamBefore his death at the age of 76 in 2016.
Ted Turner

Jane’s third husband was Ted, best known as the founder of CNN. They began their romance in the 1990s and married in 1991. In addition to his work with CNN, Ted also helped bring the Atlanta Braves and professional wrestling back into the spotlight, and helped create the United Nations Foundation with a $1 billion donation in 1998.
Although he was married twice before Jane, Ted never remarried after his divorce from Jane in 2001. In addition to being the stepfather of Jane’s three children, Ted is survived by five children from his other relationships.
In 2018, Ted revealed that he was suffering from Lewy body dementia. He died at the age of 87 in May 2026.
