J.D. Vance classifies UFOs as

J.D. Vance said he believes UFOs may not be extraterrestrials at all, but “demons,” as he vowed to investigate long-promised government disclosures about unidentified aerial phenomena.Speaking in a wide-ranging podcast interview, the US Vice President framed his views through religion while also pointing to ongoing efforts within Donald Trump’s administration to release classified material about UFOs and alleged alien encounters.

“I don’t think they’re aliens… I think they’re demons.”

Vance made the comments during an appearance on Penny showhosted by Penny Johnson, where he was asked if the government was closer to releasing files related to UFOs.

“We’re working on it… I’ll get to the bottom of the UFO files,” Vance said. “I still have three more years as Vice President. I will get to the bottom of the UFO files.”He went on to describe his personal obsession with the subject.“I’m more curious than anyone else,” he said. “And I’ve had three years at the top of the rankings. I’m going to get to the bottom of it.”At the heart of the talk was his explanation of what UFO sightings might represent.

“I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons,” Vance said.Expanding on this view, he added: “Celestial beings that fly and do strange things to people, I think the desire to describe everything celestial, everything as otherworldly, to describe it as aliens…”“When I hear about an additional natural phenomenon, what I turn to is the Christian understanding that there is a lot of good out there, but there is also some evil out there.”“I think one of Satan’s great tricks is to convince people that he never existed at all.”He also admitted that he had not yet fully studied the case: “I haven’t been able to spend enough time on this to understand it… I’m obsessed with this.”

Vance said he considered visiting Area 51 and New Mexico as part of the effort: “I’ve been a few times, ‘We’re going to go to Area 51, we’re going to go to New Mexico, we’re going to get to the bottom of this.’

Trump campaign to publish UFO files

These comments come against the backdrop of a broader campaign by the Trump administration to declassify information related to unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life.In February, Trump said he would direct federal agencies to begin releasing the files, writing on Truth Social:“Based on the overwhelming interest shown, I will direct the Secretary of War, and other relevant departments and agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing government files relating to extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any other information associated with these very complex, but extremely interesting and important matters.

God bless America!

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence later said on X that the documents would be declassified “soon,” though no comprehensive release has been made yet.Two federal domains, Alien.gov and Aliens.gov, were also registered on March 17 by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. As of March 19, neither site was active. When asked about them, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said USA Today: “Stay tuned!”

Obama’s statements and the political background

Interest in UFOs has intensified in recent years, including through congressional hearings and partial releases of documents under legislation signed by former President Joe Biden in 2023.The issue resurfaced more prominently after Barack Obama’s comments on a podcast with Brian Tyler Cohen.“It’s real, but I haven’t seen it, and it’s not kept at Area 51,” Obama said.

But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances of aliens reaching us are low, and I have seen no evidence during my presidency that aliens have contacted us. Really!”Trump criticized those statements, telling reporters that Obama “provided classified information” and “made a big mistake.”Despite decades of speculation, investigations into UFO sightings have yielded few definitive conclusions. Some incidents remain unexplained, even as governments have become more open in recognizing unidentified weather phenomena
