The official Bahrain News Agency confirmed the targeting of several sites inside the Kingdom, described the attack as a “flagrant violation of sovereignty” and announced the activation of emergency protocols.
Authorities later said that the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet service center had been subjected to a missile attack, adding that more details would be revealed once information was available.The attack came hours after the United States and Israel launched what they described as a “broad and coordinated military operation” against Iran. Early strikes were reported near Tehran, including areas near offices linked to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iranian media reported explosions and air strikes in several cities, while state television broadcast images of damaged buildings in Tehran, while rescue workers searched among the rubble for survivors. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard later announced that it had launched an initial wave of drones and missiles toward Israel, signaling the beginning of broader retaliation.
