Television host and legal analyst Nancy Grace Guthrie has urged the family to submit to polygraph tests as the search for Nancy Guthrie reaches a “critical time” in the investigation.

Grace also said Savannah’s video messages appeared contrived. He added that anyone refusing the test would raise a red flag in his eyes.

Grace was adamant in dismissing the theory that Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance was the result of a medical episode.

“This was not a ‘medical’ event. We can rule it out,” he said, insisting the situation points to something more intentional.

Concerns over cryptocurrency ransomsGrace also addressed reports that the alleged ransom demands involved cryptocurrency. While noting that bitcoin transactions are traceable, he cautioned that recovery becomes more complicated once funds cross borders.

“Bitcoin can and will be identified by the IRS, the Fed and the DOJ,” he said. However, Grace cautioned that if money has already been transferred, it could be routed through a “potentially less-regulated country” that does not enforce cryptocurrency rules as strictly as the United States. Under such circumstances, he said, bringing Nancy Guthrie home alive could become significantly more difficult. “That concerns me,” Grace added.

Savannah Guthrie’s public appealGrace analyzed Savannah Guthrie’s repeated video appeals, saying her state of mind suggested she still believed her mother was alive. “You could see in his face that he was getting more and more arrogant, begging the public to help him find his mother,” Grace said. “If he knew or suspected that his mother was already gone, he wouldn’t have done it.”

He also claimed that Savannah’s video messages, including the most recent one, appeared planned rather than spontaneous, suggesting she was “schooled by the feds” and working from a script.
