During an exclusive interview with Hollywood life Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, Amanda — who just bravely announced her breast cancer diagnosis and health journey — teased what fans can expect from her character, Mel, and John’s character, Coop, after the pair shared a kiss at the end of Season 1.
“I think there’s always this connection, this chemical thing between them, and I think even when they’re fighting, they’re fighting about parenting, or Mel is getting into some deep stuff because she’s gone off the rails with her post-menopausal anger, so, this season I feel like they’re kind of on parallel paths. They’re both escalating into extreme naughtiness, but I wonder if that’s also why they’re really connected,” Amanda explained.
