The names of US President Donald Trump and his close aides surfaced several times as the US Justice Department on Saturday released a new set of documents linked to the investigation into late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The report also suggested that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, exercised excessive influence over both Trump’s business empire and his presidency. (File photo/AP)In one of those claims, an FBI report, citing a “credible” confidential human source, showed that Trump was “compromised by Israel”.

The report also suggested that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, exercised excessive influence over both Trump’s business empire and his presidency. The report also claims that the Kushner family is allegedly involved in corruption.

“CHS suggested that this was a true collusion story Trump was compromised by Israel. And that Kushner was the real mastermind behind his organization and his presidency,” the report said.

It also revisited Kushner’s family background, noting that his father was previously convicted of financial crimes before later receiving a presidential pardon from Trump.

Questions about Russian investmentCHS told the FBI that Kushner transferred large sums of Russian investment money and failed to properly disclose certain interests associated with Russian state-linked entities.

The report pointed to Kushner’s stake in real estate investment platform Cadre as a potential area of concern.

The document also referenced previous reports of Trump’s real estate dealings. It highlighted a Beverly Hills mansion deal where Trump bought a property for around US$41 million and later sold it to a shell company with foreign links for US$95 million. CHS described the transaction as an “oddity and red flag” that merited closer examination.

Alan Dershowitz is named in the reportThe FBI report also mentions Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz. According to the file, CHS claimed that Dershowitz was “coordinated by the Mossad” and used his position at the elite institution to influence wealthy and politically connected students for Israeli intelligence targets.

It also alleged that Epstein himself was widely believed to have similarly benefited from his access to influential global political and financial circles.

The US Justice Department said it had released more than three million pages of material related to the Epstein investigation. The release contains over 2,000 videos and nearly 180,000 images.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said the documents were made public after a detailed internal review process.

Former US President Donald Trump socialized with Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s. The two later fell out, and Trump distanced himself from the financier.

Trump has never faced formal charges related to Epstein’s criminal activities. He has consistently maintained that he was unaware of Epstein’s illegal conduct.
