The Justice Department on Friday released a new batch of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein as mandated by the Transparency Act. These documents contain allegations of abuse by some of Epstein’s alleged victims. Incidentally, they sparked renewed interest in the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, with many rushing to claim it was real.
Documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein have reignited rumors that the Pizzagate conspiracy theory may be real. (X/@JacksonHinckley)The Pizzagate conspiracy theory arose during the 2016 US presidential election, based on the hacked and falsified emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. It claimed that the New York Police Department had stumbled upon a pedophilia ring run by members of the Democratic Party. Those who promoted this theory claimed that one of the establishments involved was Comet Ping Pong Pizzeria in Washington, DC.
Although the Pizzagate conspiracy has been debunked, here’s why the Epstein files have reignited a buzz in theory.

“So, Pizzagate is 100% real. All roads lead to that little pizza parlor in DC and to a guy named James Alefantis,” one person claimed.
Another document contains a contact list where a person says ‘butt cake sounds great but I need pizza’. One person exclaimed “Epstein was raped by Bush and watched kids get dismembered? WTF pizzagate the real question is this is not a game.”
“Pizzagate is all over the new Epstein document. Data set 9 contains a group of text that clearly links pizza to sexual activity. (And we all know what the code for pizza is),” one person claimed.
Another person, who actively believes that Pizzagate was real, said “For everyone outraged by the e-mail he sent to Jeffrey Epstein saying “I love torture videos” — where were you when Tony Podesta’s e-mail to John Podesta in 2016 said he was “still in the torture chamber” after last night’s comments? Torture videos and TORTURE CHAMBER That’s literally what they mean and no it’s not a joke!”
Podesta’s name in the new batch of documents fueled these theories even though he is mentioned in passing and does not appear on Epstein’s list. “This is a big Democratic think tank led by John Podesta, a former Clinton guy,” reads Peter Mandelson’s communication with Epstein.
