Viral claims that rapper Jay-Z has fled the United States. These come after his name appears in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Notably, the Justice Department on Friday released the final portion of files linked to the late convicted child sex offender.

Documents shared in the DOJ’s accessible library state “She later awoke to the presence of Harvey Weinstein and Sean Carter (Jay-Z) as Weinstein inserted his fingers…”.

Now, several posts claim that Jay-Z Epstein has fled the country out of anger over his name being on the document. To be sure, these claims come from unverified profiles.

Notably, a resurfaced video of Ye or Kanye West went viral in which he accused Jay-Z and Pusha of ‘lying’, although the context was not immediately clear.

Another said, “Jay Z has reportedly left the US for an unknown destination. He once sang about having 5 passports and avoiding jail.”

Jay Z has left the US? Verification of viral claimsDespite several posts online exaggerating the claims, they don’t seem to be true. The claims appear to originate from an account called Hoops Crave, a well-known parody account.

Their post on Feb. 1 has nearly 16.9 million views, and is likely where the rumor started.

There is no official confirmation that Jay Z will be going anywhere outside of the US. Grok verified the rumors, stating, “As of February 1, 2026, Jay-Z’s current whereabouts have not been publicly confirmed. Some reports claim he has left the U.S. amid unverified Epstein file references (anonymous tips, no charges), but details remain speculative. No public events scheduled for the next two weeks Super NBW Time; 8, headlined by Bad Bunny.”

In another instance the AI ​​chatbot said “No reliable sources have confirmed that Jay-Z left the US…but there is no recent evidence of a flight until February 2026.”
