Email exchanges between Jeffrey Epstein and Andrew Farkas suggest a possible attempt to set up a meeting with President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. The conversations came to light as the Justice Department released the final portion of the Epstein file on Friday.
The newly released Epstein files indicate that Jeffrey Epstein allegedly sought a meeting with Donald Trump Jr. months before his death. (AP Photo/John Elswick) (AP)Epstein wrote in these emails to real estate executive Andrew Farkas that he wanted to meet Donald Trump Jr., or “Don Jr.” He is generally known, a few months before his death.

References to “Don Jr.”In a January 27, 2019, email from Epstein’s files, it appears that Epstein asked Andrew Farkas to set up a coffee meeting on Thursday or Friday with “Don Jr.,” who likes funny people.
Another document in the files shows that Farkas replied to the email saying, “I won’t be here. Let me send you some dates.”
A subsequent email to Farkas, dated January 29, 2019, asked about the meeting, “Does Don Jr. date?” The next email appeared to be a calendar alert for a meeting scheduled for February 4, 2019, at 8 a.m.
It is not clear whether the meeting actually took place on the scheduled date and time.
Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019 and charged with sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy. He was later found dead in his prison on August 10, 2019.
Respond via social mediaSocial media users assumed that “Don Jr.” The emails mention Donald Trump Jr. and have called him out for his previous comments on the Epstein files
Several of X’s posts questioned the reason for the meeting between the two. @KittnHasClaws wrote, “Why did Don Jr. meet Epstein in 2019?”
A user on X tagged a 2024 post by Trump Jr., in which he defends his father and denies recent emails with “Don Jr.” as well as his presence in the Epstein files. The user wrote, “This tweet hasn’t just aged—it’s become a textbook. Trump is the most frequently mentioned person in the Epstein files, and Don Jr. himself appears in them. Supporters are excited to see this “family” laid bare in the faces of Americans.”
Another user called for an investigation into the alleged meeting between Trump Jr. and Epstein months before his arrest and death. User X wrote, “You seriously can’t make this up. The CEO of Island Capital (Ultra Cringe) was trying to arrange a meeting between @DonaldJTrumpJr and Jeffrey Epstein. This needs to be investigated.”
