Singer Bad Bunny was hit with several false claims in the buildup to his Super Bowl 60 halftime show performance. With the show now over, the false claims show no signs of slowing down.
Lady Gaga and singer Bad Bunny perform during the Super Bowl LX halftime show. (AFP)On Monday, a day after the Puerto Rican singer’s star-studded performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, claims were made that Bad Bunny performed at halftime wearing a bulletproof vest. However, the claims are untrue, and Bad Bunny did not wear a bulletproof vest while performing at the Super Bowl.
Ht.com can confirm that no reports or sources close to Bad Bunny have confirmed that he was wearing a bulletproof vest. This seems to be just a hoax, similar to the hoax that Bad Bunny wore a bulletproof vest to the Grammy Awards earlier this month.
For example, here’s a post that claims Bad Bunny wore a bulletproof vest at Levi’s Stadium.
The claims appear to stem from users on social media who claimed to have noticed a bulletproof vest under Bad Bunny’s costume during NBC’s broadcast of the Super Bowl halftime show.

Similar claims arose around the Grammy appearanceSimilar claims to Bad Bunny came during the singer’s appearance at the 2026 Grammy Awards, wearing a bulletproof vest and allegedly “sitting alone.” Users claimed that the singer was wearing a bulletproof jacket based on how he appeared on screen.

However, Vanity Fair refuted the claim by citing a Vogue video showing the singer getting ready to perform during the Grammys. He was never seen wearing a bulletproof jacket.
However, the rumor gained ground as Bad Bunny received death threats amid conservative backlash from the NFL for choosing him to perform at Super Bowl LX halftime.
