Clavular, whose real name is Braden Eric Peters, has built a large online following by promoting “looksmaxxing,” a trend focused on improving physical appearance through extreme methods.
The 20-year-old Kick streamer and TikTok creator is known for giving controversial advice, including smashing facial bones and heavy steroid use. But during a recent live broadcast in Paris, attention shifted away from his online image after several uncomfortable public interactions left him facing criticism rather than praise. According to the Times and the New York Post, his trip quickly became a point of discussion across social media and French media.
Clavcular’s live stream in Paris shows French women are unimpressed by his online fame
During his live broadcast, Clavcular approached several women in cafes, restaurants and on the streets while trying to start conversations. In one widely shared clip, he introduced himself and hinted that people could search for his name online. One woman simply asked him if he was famous before politely ending the conversation by saying: “Have a good time in Paris. I hope you enjoy it.”
That moment reflected much of his visit. Most people he approached either showed little interest or turned away.
At one point, he admitted on live television: “I lost the match, but it wasn’t a success.”French media also covered the story. Instead of focusing on his online popularity, many reports praised women for politely rejecting his advances. According to the Times, many locals didn’t know who he was, while others weren’t interested in dealing with him.
Tarragui later admitted that he needed better conversation skills after Paris’s backlash
As the criticism mounted, the collarbone’s response was disappointing. He described the French people as “rude bags” in a post on X and described the situation as much bigger than he expected.
Videos from the trip also showed people throwing drinks and water at him as he walked through the city. But later his tone changed. He admitted that approaching women was never his strength and wrote on X, “I say all the time that my game with women is terrible, but at least I have the balls to practice getting close.” He also added: “I need to become more interesting so I can carry the caravans better.”Paris’s journey ended up revealing the gap between Clavcular’s online confidence and his real-life interactions. Although he remains one of the biggest names in the lookmaxxing community, his livestream has sparked a new debate about influencer culture, internet fame, and whether a large online following always translates into real-world fame.
