He began his professional journey at ABC in the 1970s, gradually progressing through various programming and management positions. After Disney’s acquisition of ABC in 1996, Iger ascended to a senior executive role within Disney, eventually becoming president and COO in 2000, and Michael Eisner’s CEO in 2005.
