Billie Eilish’s comments at the Grammys 2026 sparked a backlash, with one influencer starting a GiveSendGo campaign to try to move into her Malibu mansion.

Billie Eilish’s comments about ‘stolen land’ prompted Drew Pavlo’s response. (Facebook/Billie Eilish, X/@DrewPavlo)Drew Pavlo, an Australian political activist, initially started a GoFundMe. He posted about it on X. “I’m flying to the US next Friday to try to get to Billie Eilish’s beachside Malibu mansion. No man is illegal on stolen land. Please support my travel and filming expenses here,” he wrote, attaching a link below.

However, GoFundMe appears to have taken down his fundraiser, which he updated in the comments. “GOFUNDME deleted my Billie Eilish fundraiser. This is disgusting and unfair. I will be looking at alternative fundraising platforms.”

“Billie Eilish announced at the Grammys that no man is illegal on stolen land. So I’m raising funds to fly to America and move into her $6 million Malibu mansion. Everything here is completely and totally legal, I’m just going to set up a tent in her driveway and leave when they officially ask me to leave. Please donate to travel page and film reading costs.” Pavlo’s goal is to raise $4000 (AUD) or about $2,783.

Eilish, after winning song of the year at the Grammys for Wildflower from her hit Me Hard and Soft album, gave an emotional speech. “As grateful as I feel, I really don’t think I need to say anything but … nobody is illegal on stolen land. And, yeah, it’s really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, I feel really hopeful in this room, and I think we just need to fight and talk and protest. Our voices are really important,” People said during his speech. “And f—k ICEE I mean, sorry,” he concluded.

Hilsa’s reference to ‘stolen land’ comes from a past where the country’s early European settlers stole land from native Indians.
