Clinton is pushing for public hearingsBill and Hillary Clinton agreed to be questioned by the committee as part of the investigation into Epstein’s sex-trafficking network.
In her X post, Clinton highlighted a request from Oversight Chairman James Comer to hold the session “with cameras, but only behind closed doors.” He also said that such a system works “only in party interest”. “This is not data, it is pure politics,” he wrote.
He emphasized in his X post that Epstein’s victims deserve full transparency and that the American public is best served by an open hearing with cameras. Hillary Clinton also demanded that their scheduled testimony be held in public.
Clinton wrote in another X-post that she was “not afraid to be propped up in a closed-door kangaroo court by the Republican Party.”
He called for things to be done “the right way,” writing, “If they want answers, let’s stop the games and do it the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what it really is.”

Clinton had previously resisted personal testimonyClinton’s name has surfaced in a series of connections documented in the massive cache of Epstein files released over the past two months.
The files include images and documents detailing Bill Clinton’s past interactions with Epstein, including trips on Epstein’s private jet.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have previously resisted personal testimony and said they would give sworn statements instead. However, earlier this week, Clinton agreed to appear for a public deposition.
Bill Clinton wrote in X, “I have called for the full release of the Epstein files. I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And this week, I have agreed to appear in person before the committee. But that’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.”
Following the aforementioned agreement, Comer, who initially insisted that Clinton testify and provide full disclosure of Epstein-related documents, has now requested a closed-door deposition.
