A Buffalo Township man is accused of damaging a family home with an excavator during the dispute
A Buffalo man has been charged with a number of felony offenses after he allegedly destroyed his home using a backhoe while his wife and children were still home Tuesday morning.Police arrested 48-year-old Eric Perosza after his family home was destroyed in the Martin Road area.According to details in the criminal complaint, police say the argument started when Pierosa’s wife told him their marriage was over because they had recently separated.Officers say Berriosa showed up at the home after drinking all night. Police say that shortly after Berriosa arrived, he and his wife got into an argument.The criminal complaint states the sequence of events that occurred during the altercation.Pierosa’s wife says she told her husband their marriage was over during the fight. As stated in the criminal complaint, Pierosa allegedly said, “If this is over, I’m going to tear the house down,” Triblive reported.Pierosa then climbed into the Kubota excavator and began dismantling the back of the family home while his wife and daughters were still inside.
Police said the machine caused extensive damage to the building in a short period of time. Authorities later noted that the extent of the damage raised serious doubts about the safety of the structure.Peroza reportedly left the scene after the incident. Later, he was arrested by the authorities. Charges against Pierucha included causing a disaster, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct.According to investigators, the damage posed a direct threat to the family as large parts of the building were severely damaged during the incident. When police officers arrived at the property, they noticed extensive damage to the back of the building.Perosza remained in custody at the Butler County Jail after being unable to post $10,000 bail, records revealed. The preliminary hearing will be held before District Judge Jack D., public records show.
