A 57-year-old Sikh man was kidnapped from the Tracy area of San Joaquin County, California.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim in a Facebook post as Avtar Singh, 5’7″ and about 200 pounds, who was wearing “light-colored traditional Sikh clothing” at the time of the incident.
According to surveillance footage, Singh was picked up by three unidentified men in dark-colored clothes in a white SUV on Tuesday (February 17, 2026) around 2:30 pm (local time), police said.
It appears that the victim entered the car against his will. Detectives are actively investigating.
“Based on the information available at this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community,” police said.
Police have asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
