A Mississauga man has been charged after police say he secretly recorded women inside fitting rooms at an Oakville retail store. The case investigators say may involve more victims, CP24 reportsDishanth Srideva, 36, faces two counts of voyeurism following two incidents at the Winston store on Winston Churchill Street, according to Halton Regional Police.The first complaint was received in early April 2026 after a woman reported seeing a man using his cellphone to secretly record her while she was changing inside the store’s fitting room. The investigation was handled by the 2nd District Criminal Investigation Bureau, which said officers used a “variety of investigative techniques” to identify the suspect.As the investigation continued, investigators linked the same man to a similar incident at the same store in November 2024, involving another adult victim.Last week, police executed a search warrant for a home in Mississauga. The accused was arrested at the scene and police seized several items believed to contain evidence, including mobile phones and a laptop.“Multiple items of evidentiary value were found, including mobile phones and a laptop,” police said in a statement.Srideva has since been charged with two counts of voyeurism.
He was later released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton at a later date.Investigators also released his photo publicly, saying they are concerned there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. The release of the photo is intended to help identify more complainants and assist the ongoing investigation.Srideva is still before the courts and has not been convicted.
