JiDion explains what happened after Woodhaven McDonald’s arrest
The case began on June 22 when JiDion, whose real name is Jadon Armani Adams, live-streamed a visit to a McDonald’s restaurant in Woodhaven, Michigan. He and a group of his supporters were confronting a man they described as an alleged squatter.
The police arrived and ordered everyone to leave the house. When the situation continued, Gideon was arrested. A day later, he appeared in court and was charged with two charges: disturbing the peace and stalking. Three minors who were also arrested during the incident faced disturbing the peace charges. JiDion was released on $10,000 bail while awaiting his next court date on July 13. After this hearing, JiDion shared the result on social media.
“All charges were dropped with prejudice. They were fully acquitted. Everyone who was arrested with me had their records expunged as well,” he said. According to his update, the court’s decision means that the same charges cannot be brought against him again. Dexerto reported that the case officially ended after the July 13 hearing. JiDion also thanked the people who stood by his side throughout the legal process. He added that he covered the legal costs of those involved, and was happy that everyone could now move forward without criminal records linked to the incident.
JiDion says he’s leaving livestream pranks behind
Even before the court’s decision was announced, JiDion had already spoken about changing the type of content he creates. In a YouTube video, he admitted that the arrest made him rethink his style of live broadcasting.“I stopped streaming. I stopped the annoying stuff. I stopped all that,” he said. He also made it clear that he no longer wanted to create content that would lead to situations like the one that happened in Michigan. Instead, he plans to spend his time creating videos focused on catching online predators, which he believes can have a more positive impact. Dexerto stated that he described the arrest as a turning point in his career.
