In the midst of chaos in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump on Friday used another strong tone against the hostile Iranian regime, issuing an almost explicit warning against what he called “deranged bastards.”

Referring to the US military’s massive operation against the Islamic Republic, he said Washington was carrying out strikes to “destroy the terrorist regime in Iran” militarily, economically and otherwise, while also sharply criticizing the New York Times’ “botched” reporting on the war.By projecting confidence in the “unparalleled” prowess of the US military and claiming overwhelming success in the campaign against the establishment in Tehran, Donald Trump has turned to Truth Social to deliver a distinctively frank message.

“We are completely destroying the Iranian terrorist regime, militarily, economically and otherwise,” he declared in the post, “and yet, if you read the failed New York Times, you will mistakenly believe that we are not winning.” In his scathing criticism of the New York Times, he added that “Iran’s navy is gone, its air force is no more,” while its missiles, drones and other capabilities are steadily being “destroyed,” with key leaders “wiped off the face of the earth.”

Striking a triumphant tone while praising the US military, Trump also issued a stark warning to Iran’s power centers, hinting at the possibility of further action under Khamenei’s new leadership in the country. “We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammo, and plenty of time – watch what happens to these deranged bastards today,” he wrote. He added: “They have been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now, as the 47th President of the United States of America, I kill them. What a great honor it is to do so!”Meanwhile, reports emerging from the conflict in the Middle East indicate that Iran may have attempted to strike the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Tehran also claimed responsibility for shooting down another American plane during a refueling mission, although Washington described the incident as an accident. Trump, who has long maintained a hard-line stance against Iran, used this moment to double his warning to the leadership of the Islamic Republic.
