The peacock does not release one Fast and furious TV series, not two – but fourfranchise star Vin Diesel said Monday on NBCUniversal Upfront at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Or maybe he’s just one.
“Over the past decade, we’ve realized that fans want more,” Diesel, who was sharing the stage with Jimmy Fallon, told the advertisers in attendance. “They wanted us to expand the old characters and their stories. And over the last decade, the desire for us has been to enter the television space.”

Diesel will produce the show in development alongside Sam Vincent, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirshenbaum and Chris Morgan; Mike Daniels and Wolf Coleman are co-showrunners.
The show’s tagline simply reads, “More to come…” For those who don’t work in television, that’s not a tagline at all. The series will come from Universal Television.
So far, Universal Pictures Fast and furious The films have collected more than $7 billion at the box office worldwide. NBCU says it is the studio’s “most profitable” and longest-running franchise.
