Victoria Monet has a new album on the way, the R&B star revealed on Wednesday Love frequency It will officially drop on October 2 via RCA.
Her second studio album overall, Love frequency Monet’s debut will follow in 2023, Jaguar IIwhich won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album while she herself won Best New Artist in the same year. The album’s biggest hit, “On My Mama”, was considered one of the best songs of the year and received Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Best R&B Song.
Along with the album announcement, Monet on Wednesday released the song “Reach Out” as well as an accompanying music video. “Reach Out” follows “Let Me,” which she released during the spring. Monet is currently on the road in support of Bruno Mars’ ongoing Romance Tour, performing across Europe over the summer. It will be played in London on Wednesday evening at Wembley Stadium.
like THR First announced last fall, Monet will be heading into her next era with some new acting, having signed with Full Stop Management, where she will be repped by Jeffrey Azoff, Anna Savage, Sean Holliday, and Sam Weiss.
Before striking out on her own, Monet established herself as a respected songwriter, penning hit songs including Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” “Thank U, Next,” and “34+35,” as well as Selena Gomez and Blackpink’s “Ice Cream.”
